TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Hormozgan Deputy Governor Ahmad Nafisi said the number of injured in the U.S. attack on Iran in his region had risen to 68. The recent attack hit a wedding in Hormozgan.
As quoted by ANTARA, the number of people injured in a U.S. attack at a wedding in Kuhestak, Sirik, has risen to 68, Nafisi said, according to the state news agency on Tuesday.
Previously, Nafisi said the death toll in the attack in Kuhestak reached four people.
Meanwhile, the head of the national security commission in the Iranian Parliament, Ebrahim Azizi, stressed that Iran will retaliate against the U.S. for the attack they carried out on a wedding ceremony in Hormozgan Province.
In a post on social media X, Azizi said the attack on a wedding and the killing of civilians in Kuhestak, Iran, is the most obvious evidence of the desperation of fake human rights defenders and the repetition of their crimes in Minab and Lamerd.
He added that those responsible for the attacks would not escape punishment, warning that nothing would shield them from what he described as the “iron resolve” of the Iranian Armed Forces.
