TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Iran's delegation is set to meet with the Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday, April 11, 2026. Later, they will negotiate with the United States on the same evening.
The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday, April 10, 2026, confirmed the arrival of the Iranian delegation to participate in talks with the United States and expressed hopes for constructive dialogue.
According to the Tasnim News Agency, as cited by Middle East Eye, Iran sends a 71-member delegation for the negotiation with the United States in Islamabad, Pakistan.
The report mentioned that the delegation includes the main negotiation team, as well as technical committees and expert teams to support the consultation process. The delegation also includes media representatives and protocol and security personnel.
As reported by Sputnik International, the Iranian team is led by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, who serves as the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament.
Iran has also brought several of its top officials, including Foreign Minister Araghchi for political talks, Central Bank Governor Hemmati focusing on the economic portion of the negotiations, and Rear Admiral Ahmadian focusing on military affairs, as well as Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi focusing on legal matters.
On the other hand, according to Fars News report, the United States team is led by Vice President of the United States, JD Vance.
The United States delegation brought around 300 staff for the negotiations. Alongside Vance, Trump's Special Envoy, Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner are present. The U.S. negotiators will be accompanied by experts from the U.S. National Security Council, Department of State, and Pentagon.

In its official statement, the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs hopes that all parties can engage in a constructive manner and achieve a sustainable peaceful solution.
The war on Iran is said to have caused a major shock to the global oil supply, disrupting energy production in the Gulf region, and triggering concerns about inflation, food crises, and global recession risks.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif referred to these negotiations as a crucial moment that will determine whether the temporary ceasefire can develop into long-term peace.
