TEMPO.CO, Jakarta Gal Gadot has criticized DC Studios over how executives handled superhero talent as the company transitioned from the Zack Snyder era to the current leadership of CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran.

"the Henry situation was unfortunate. I was in the middle of that. The Henry situation was not handled elegantly, to say the least," said Gal Gadot, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday local time.

Her comment refers to DC's decision to drop Henry Cavill from the role of Superman, which he had previously portrayed.

Gadot also addressed the fallout involving Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins, noting that events failed to unfold as they should have.

"I feel like we’re all adults and it’s all good. It’s not even about them. They are there and they’re there to do what they believe in, and it’s all good," she said.

DC had previously announced Cavill's return as Superman, even featuring him in a post-credits cameo in Black Adam, just before Gunn and Safran assumed control of the studio.

Just two months later, however, Gunn revealed that the next Superman installment would center on the character's early years, effectively recasting the role without Cavill.

Responding to the reversal, the actor remarked, "After being told by the studio to announce my return back in October, prior to their hire, this news isn’t the easiest."

Gunn subsequently cast David Corenswet to take over as the new Man of Steel for the upcoming Superman film.

Gunn acknowledged that the handling was unfortunate, suggesting that previous studio leadership had attempted to push their own agenda for the franchise's direction.

He nevertheless described Cavill as a gracious and wonderful individual when the two eventually met to discuss the transition.

As for Gal Gadot, whose identity remains closely tied to Wonder Woman, her future with the franchise has yet to be officially confirmed.

Meanwhile, Adria Arjona has been cast in an undisclosed role for the upcoming Superman project, which is often referenced as Man of Tomorrow. This fuels speculation that she might portray Wonder Woman.
