TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said President Prabowo Subianto led a limited meeting with several ministers in Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java on Tuesday. The limited meeting focused on concrete steps to improve housing quality and living environments.
According to the Cabinet Secretariat in Jakarta, the meeting focused on ways to provide more suitable and affordable housing to those in need. "This includes policies to ease access to housing finance so that more people can own homes," said Teddy, as quoted by ANTARA.
In line with this, through the ASRI (Safe, Healthy, Clean, Beautiful) Indonesia Movement, the government continues to encourage comprehensive improvements to residential environments.
The program includes providing and improving clean water and facilities for bathing, washing, and toilets (MCK), as well as waste management and improving environmental cleanliness and beauty. "Because a decent home isn't just about the building. A residence must also be in a clean, healthy, safe, comfortable, tidy, and beautiful environment," he said.
During the meeting, the government discussed policies that would make housing finance more accessible, allowing more people to own decent, affordable homes.
Teddy explained that the spirit of ASRI Indonesia is to provide suitable housing and a beautiful environment while paying attention to the character, culture, and local wisdom of each region.
"This is the spirit of ASRI Indonesia: providing increasingly suitable housing and a more beautiful environment, while still respecting the character, culture, and local wisdom of each region," he said.
