Indonesia’s U-17 national team suffered a narrow 0-1 defeat to Malaysia in their Group A match of the 2026 AFF U-17 Championship at Gelora Joko Samudro Stadium in Gresik, East Java, Indonesia, on Thursday evening.
The only goal of the match was scored by Mohammad Fareez in the 33rd minute, handing Malaysia all three points in a tightly contested encounter.
Indonesia started brightly, taking control of possession and pressing Malaysia’s backline early in the first half. However, it was Malaysia who created the first real chance in the 2nd minute, when Ahmad Yusuf broke through the offside trap, only to be denied by goalkeeper Noah Leo Duvert.
2. Fact Check: Indonesian Businessman Didn't Donate Trillions to Iran
Four photos claiming that a businessman from West Sumatra, M. Hasbi Al-Khairi, donated trillions of rupiah to Iran have been circulating on social media since late March 2026. The posts spread across Instagram [archive], Facebook, Threads, TikTok, and YouTube.
The images show a man in a suit handing over stacks of cash to a military official. However, the man’s face differs from one photo to another. The donation amounts mentioned are also inconsistent, ranging from Rp512 trillion to Rp548 trillion.
